The Secondary UV-VIS Filter Set serves to verify the photometric and wavelength accuracy of the BioPhotometer and BioPhotometer plus. The filters are traceable to reference standards of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST, Gaithersburg MD, USA) and serve to verify systematic and random errors. The comparison of the determined measured values with the limiting values defined for each filter provides information on the accuracy and precision of the device and its wavelengths.
