White, opaque wells reflect up to 10x more fluorescence than clearwells. This characteristic is extremely useful in qPCR, especially inlow volume qPCR. To offer this advantage to qPCR users, Eppendorf hasdeveloped the twin.tec real-time PCR plate. This plate not only showssignificantly increased reflection, it also shows more homogenousreflection. Better homogeneity in qPCR replicates means lower standarddeviation within an assay, which can be crucial for further analyses.
