• Read the serial number off the nameplate

  The numbering system can differ. Please note the following examples and register the serial number as sequential digits — no spaces or dashes. For example:
  	Enter the serial number like this: 5418WQ212353
  Please note that only serial numbers with 12 digits (as shown above) can be registered.

Eppendorf Pipettes and Dispensers

• From 2012 onwards you can register new pipettes and dispensers using the registration code enclosed in the packaging. You can find the registration code attached to the Eppendorf Certificate.

  The serial number of pipettes and dispensers cannot be used for product registration!

  

  The registration is not possible for new or used pipettes and dispensers that were manufactured before 2012.

  Important: A registration code cannot be reordered for older or used instruments or if it was lost!

  Where no registration code is enclosed, but an ep-points sticker, you cannot register this product, but will still receive ep-points! Please note that ep-points codes cannot be redeemed on the product registration website. They must be redeemed on the ep-points website instead.

  Enter the serial number or registration code (again, do not include blank spaces) as shown in the examples above. For some older instruments you will be asked to select your instrument from a list of qualifying equipment in the next step. If you know the purchase date or the dealer from which you got your device, you may also enter this information (but it is not obligatory).

  You will receive an e-mail from us confirming your registration. Your bonus ep-points will be automatically credited to your ep-points account. You can redeem your ep-points here

Proof of purchase

Eppendorf may request proof of purchase or ownership to validate serial numbers should they appear to be invalid. Eppendorf reserves the right to prohibit the participation of any individual if fraud is suspected. We will investigate potential fraud and take appropriate legal.

Eppendorf reserves the right to cancel or modify the Online Product Registration program at any time.

• What are the advantages of registering my Eppendorf instruments?
  • First, for each qualifying Eppendorf instrument that you register, bonus ep-points will be added to your ep-points account.
  • Secondly, we will keep you up to date with regard to new software, application notes, etc. for your registered equipment.
  • In addition, you will have an organized repository for all your registered Eppendorf products, where you can
    • Track and manage your equipment/registrations
    • Sort and print them in list format
    • Find the latest information about them

• What types of Eppendorf equipment can I register?
  Please refer to this list of qualifying instruments

• How many ep-points do I receive for product registration?
  The amount of ep-points depends on the instrument you register. Please refer to this list.

• I've lost my instrument’s proof of purchase. Can I still register the device?
  Yes, because you do not need any proof of purchase — just the serial number or the registration code and the name of the device.

• Can I register Eppendorf pipettes and dispensers?
  Yes, you can register your new products using the registration code which is enclosed in the packaging of new pipettes and dispensers from 2012 onwards. It can be found on the coupon attached to the Eppendorf Certificate. The serial number of pipettes and dispensers cannot be used for product registration!
  
  Important: A registration code cannot be reordered for older or used instruments or if it was lost!
  
  Where no registration code is enclosed but an ep-points sticker, you cannot register this product but you will still receive ep-points! Please note that ep-points codes cannot be redeemed on the product registration website. They must be redeemed on the ep-points website instead.

• How come there are no longer ep-points codes and stickers in the boxes of pipettes and dispensers?
  Eppendorf pipettes and dispensers take part in the Online Product Registration from 2012 onwards. You can register them using the registration code which is enclosed in the packaging. For each qualifying Eppendorf instrument that you register, ep-points will be added to your ep-points account.

• Do I still receive ep-points for the registration of pipettes and dispensers?
  Yes, you will continue to receive ep-points, in some cases even more ep-points than before.

• Has the ep-points program been discontinued?
  No, the ep-points program continues to exist! You can still collect ep-points with other Eppendorf products (such as tubes or plates). In addition you can also redeem the ep-points you collected with the product registration on the ep-points website.

• Can I still enter ep-points codes which I found in older pipette or dispenser packaging from purchases before 2012?
  Yes, these codes are still valid! You can still enter them on the ep-points website.

• I received a box containing an ep-points sticker and a registration code. What shall I do?
  Lucky you! You can use both codes to collect ep-points. Please enter the ep-points code on the ep-points website and the registration code on the product registration website.

• I received a box containing an ep-points sticker and another box containing a registration code. What shall I do?
  Please enter the ep-points code on the ep-points website and the registration code on the product registration website.

• I would rather receive only ep-points than register my pipette or dispenser. Is this possible?
  Pipettes and dispensers are no longer a direct part of the ep-points program. However, although the way of collecting the points is different, you will still receive ep-points for your product registration, in some cases even more than before. Please refer to this list for more information.

• Can I also register pipettes and dispensers without a registration code, for example using the serial number?
  No, this is not possible. You need the registration code for the product registration of pipettes and dispensers. The serial number of pipettes and dispensers cannot be used for product registration!

• Can I reorder the registration code, for example for older or used instruments or if it was lost?
  No, you cannot reorder the registration code. If there is no registration code in the box, the instrument cannot be registered.

• Can I register devices of other brands?
  No. Only Eppendorf instruments can be registered. See the list of qualifying Eppendorf instruments here.

• What information is required to register my instrument?
  You must enter the serial number or registration code and name of your device (only for older instruments). You may also add the date of purchase and where you bought your device but this is not obligatory. Please refer to this on how you can find the serial number or registration code.

• Where do I find my instrument’s serial number and the registration code?
  Serial numbers are located either on the side, back or at the bottom of your Eppendorf device. For examples, click here. The registration code is enclosed in the packaging of new pipettes and dispensers from 2012 onwards. It can be found on the coupon attached to the Eppendorf Certificate.

• Can more than one person register the same instrument?
  No. Each instrument’s serial number can be registered only once.

• My company is the owner of the device. Am I allowed to register it?
  Your company must make this decision. Please be aware of your company’s rules and make sure that you are permitted to do so. See also the ep-points Terms & Conditions.

• Can I delete a device from my account if I no longer have it?
  To delete devices from your account, please contact us.

• If I’m leaving the laboratory, can I transfer my registrations to a colleague?
  Yes. Please be aware of your company’s rules with regard to instrument ownership/registration. Then, if your company permits, contact us to delete the devices from your account so that your colleague may re-register them.

• Do I have to pay for registration?
  No! Registration is free.

• I am already a registered user of Eppendorf’s website. Do I need to sign up again?
  No. You can log in with your existing user name and password. Depending on the type of account you already have, we might request additional information.

• My address has changed. How do I update my profile?
  Update your personal information in the myEppendorf or ep-points section. Simply click on "Change your data".

• What does Eppendorf do with my registration data?
  See our privacy statement.

• What, exactly, are ep-points and where do I register my ep-points codes?
  ep-points is our special Customer Rewards Program. For complete information follow this link here.

• How long does it take to credit ep-points to my account?
  Your account will be credited with the ep-points immediately.
