The Silverquant system offers microarray users at all different levels of experience a microarray scanning and detection system for the the highest quality results. The colorimetric Silverquant technology allows the detection of any biotinylated biomolecule providing light grey-to-black spots that can be visualized first by the naked eye and then subsequently scanned and quantified with Eppendorf’s new Silverquant scanner and scanning software. The grey level intensity is related to the quantity of target that is hybridized onto the spot.

The Silverquant analysis software easily processes the digitized data. Together with Eppendorf’s microarray products and the Thermomixer comfort for perfect hybridization results, the Silverquant detection platform provides an “All-in-One“ system for Eppendorf’s low density microarrays. For maximum flexibility, the Silverquant detection and scanning system offers a broad compartmental scanning/detection solution for any glass/polymer slide with biotinylated biomolecules.
