My first experiment for my PhD was a spot assay. I was struggling painfully through each assay for hours on end due to the stiff mechanism of the (non-Eppendorf) pipette I had at the time. I eventually came across Eppendorf's Research Plus Pipettes which have been a complete game changer! Each assay takes half the time to do and yields extremely consistent results. My PCR experiments have also improved a lot too! Whenever I'm showing anyone around the lab, these pipettes are usually the first thing I talk and rave about!

As a growing life science student, Eppendorf pipettes have accompanied me like a (in)visible best friend. I remember the first time I held an Eppendorf pipette in my hand, it was during my first independent lab experience during the BA thesis. After many courses with other pipettes, the Eppendorf pipette felt like an extended arm and I was able to concentrate on my research rather than how to handle the equipment. As a Potterhead, the Eppendorf pipette is for me what the magic wand is for Harry Potter :-).

The first time I was in contact with an eppendorf’s product was a pipette in CEGEP. It was during my first lab of biochemistry happening at the second trimester of biotechnology. My lab partner and I were excited to learn how to use it, and I remember being so satisfied of the drops they made. They were the perfect 1μL, 10μL and 100μL, and ever since I love to watch the drop when I use pipettes.

For more than 15 years of research experiences in laboratory and cell culture, from undergrad to phd, having the pleasure to use eppendorf lab equipments and consumables is like a dream or something to achieve all the time. However, we always have to compromise with the quality due to affordability. Until the day I received free sample of eppendorf cell culture wares, with the quality, innovation and precision of the multiwell plate design, it has prompted me and my labmates come to the agreement that we should stick to eppendorf labwares and consumables. =)

When you almost feel hopeless, that time when your experiment stops working and you get a negative result. That hurts! But when you look at the countertop- Your Eppendorf pipette and tubes is smiling at you. You know, there is no other motivation than that. Working with diabetic patients, collecting blood samples, isolating the DNA and lot more of molecular work becomes extremely easy with Eppendorf products. The smooth pipette and precisely marked tubes make the experiment free of errors. Thank you for making such wonderful products for researchers.

Happy Anniversary and thanks Eppendorf for the Cell Culture Do´s and Don´ts videos!! Not only are they amusing, they also helped us a lot to optimize the way we work in cell culture and to think about details that we have not considered as a source of errors so far.

To use a eppendorf pipette after years of using no name pipetts was like coming home. No bang into the caps, dropping around it was heaven!

Actually it was not at all expected that I will at my first experience only will come across an Eppendorf product in my hands. I borrowed it from another lab and was so thankful to the teacher who enabled me this great experience. It felt like my wish came true. I share my experience with all my colleagues and always suggest them to use Eppendorf products.

I have been using Eppendorf pipettes since form my PhD. However, I never had a own set of pipettes or even if I have I use to share with my colleagues. So, having a new set of Eppendorf pipette set remained as dream. So, when I started my own research lab, I bought two Eppendorf pippette sets, one for me and other for my student. The new set I bought looked great and made my day.

The first time I have been using an Eppendorf pipette I remember being very impressed and thinking that it must have been quite a revolution going from mouth pipetting to this engine in the 1960s. 60 years later we now use electronic pipettes to pipette very small volumes with a precision and reproducibility never achieved, saving both time and energy. How impressive!
