Oldest Eppendorf Centrifuge Competition Winner Announced

Oldest Eppendorf Centrifuge Competition Winner - Dr Nicole Muller-Sienerth
23.05.2018

Congratulations to Dr Nicole Muller-Sienerth at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute

To celebrate the launch of the newest additions to the Eppendorf centrifuge family; Centrifuge 5425 & Centrifuge 5910 R, we embarked on a mission to track down the oldest working Eppendorf centrifuges across laboratories in the UK & Ireland.

This not only prompted a rush of dust removal from serial numbers of old centrifuges, but also an appreciation of just how many older Eppendorf centrifuges are still working today, proving they are a true workhorse of the laboratory.

We are pleased to announce our winner was Dr Nicole Muller-Sienerth at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute, whose prize was not only a brand new Centrifuge 5425, but also a free VIP invitation to attend the Eppendorf Centrifuge Workshop & Launch on 15th May 2018. Here we also presented Nicole with an official certificate.

Nicole's Centrifuge 5415 C was installed in 1993 and is still currently being used!

Photographs from the event are available to view here.

Eppendorf would like to thank everyone who entered the competition.

If you have any older Eppendorf equipment in your laboratory, we would love to see them!
