Are Combitips advanced resistant to acids?
Combitips advanced are resistant to most moderate inorganic acids. For example, 10% nitric acid, 60% sulphuric acid, 40% hydrofluoric acid, and 35% hydrochloric acid can be taken up without damaging the Combitip and can be dispensed over a period of several weeks. We are not, however, able to give any information about dispensing accuracy or functionality of liquid dispensing. Also, we are not able to make any generally applicable statements for organic acids since the resistance varies considerably, depending on the acid. For example, the Combitip advanced is resistant to 50% acetic acid at room temperature, but not to butyric acid.
Are Combitips advanced resistant to trifluoroacetic acid?
This substance was tested separately. The test result for trifluoroacetic acid with a concentration below of 50% shows that Combitips can be used. Therefore higher concentrated trifluoroacetic acid (größer 50%) the resistant is dependent on the exposure time.
Are Combitips advanced resistant to PEG 400 (polyethylene glycol)?
This substance was not tested separately. The test result for ethylene glycol on PE and PP shows that Combitips advanced can be used. Pipetting of PEG should therefore also be possible.
Are Combitips advanced resistant to petroleum spirit N28?
The primary components of petroleum spirit are pentane, hexane, and octane. Because the secondary components are unknown, we cannot guarantee that the Combitips advanced are suitable for your application. However, we would be pleased to send you a sample of the Combitips advanced to try out.
What are Combitip Racks made of?
The Combitip Rack is made of polypropylene (PP) and is autoclavable
Are Combitip Racks autoclavable?
Yes, up to 50 times.
When must the Combitips advanced advanced adapter for 25 ml and 50 ml be changed?
We recommend cleaning and disinfecting the adapter after each use. Then it can be used for up to 25 Combitips, since there is one new adapter in each package of Combitips advanced.
Are Combitips advanced advanced free from slip agents?
Yes, Combitips advanced are produced without using slip agents. There is a batch-independant certificate available.
Is there a certificate available regarding trace metals?
Yes, there is a lot-unspecific certificate regarding the absence of trace metals available.

What is the filter in Easypet made of?
The 0.2 µm filter is made of PP (housing) and PTEE (membrane). The 0.45 filter is made of PVC (housing) and PTEE (membrane).
Can membrane filters with a pore width other than 0.45 µm be used in Easypet?
Yes, pore widths of 0.3 µm and 0.2 µm may also be used. This has only a minimal effect on aspirating and dispensing speeds. When purchasing, please note the shape of the filter connections; double-sided Male Luer Slip (MLS).
Is there a certificate regarding the filter used in the Easypet 3?
Yes. We can provide you with a certificate for either the 0.2 or 0.45 µm membrane filter.
Is the Easypet filter hydrophobic?
Yes. The Easypet filter is made of PTFE (polytetrafluorethylene) and is hydrophobic.
The pipette in the Easypet is leaking. What is the reason for this?
Please check that the pipette is pushed far enough into the adapter of Easypet. Also check that the adapter or the pipette is not damaged.
The pipette does not fit tightly onto Easypet. What might be the reason for this?
Please check that the adapter is not damaged in any way. The pipette might not be pushed far enough into the adapter.
What is a possible reason for reduced suction capacity of the Easypet?
Reduced suction capacity may be caused by a wetted membrane filter.
Is the Easypet autoclavable?
The nose cone and the adapters are autoclavable.
Is it possible to continue working with the power unit when the battery of Easypet is flat?
Yes. The device is even recharged during the pipetting process.
Which batteries are used in Easypet?
Lithium polymer batteries are used in Easypet.
How long does it take to recharge a completely flat battery of Easypet?
It takes 3 hours.
How large is the capacity of the fully charged Easypet battery and how many dispensing cycles can be carried out?
A fully charged battery can be used for approximately 6 hours or for over 2000 cycles of aspiration and dispensing of a 25 ml pipette without using the pump. When using the pump approximately 650 cycles are possible.
How long is the lifetime of the Easypet batteries?
Up to 500 charging cycles can be carried out when charging is carried out according to instructions.
Can 60°C liquids be dispensed with Easypet?
Easypet can be used for liquids at this temperature, incl. its silicone adapter, and filter.
Which liquids should be regarded as critical for pipetting with Easypet?
Liquids which give off vapors that attack silicon, NBR, ABS (Acryl Nitrile-Butadene-Styrol-Copolymer), POM (Polyoxymethylene), or PVDF (Polyvinylidenfluoride).
What difference does Easypet make between "flow out "and "blow out"?
Flow out: press bottom button without activating the pump. Dispensing speed is regulated by varying the finger pressure. Blow out: push bottom button in completely. The pump switches on and the liquid is blown out.
How much does Easypet weigh?
It weighs 160 g.
How is the wall holder for Easypet fastened to the wall?
The wall holder has a Velcro strip that is pressed onto the wall after the protective film has been removed. The wall holder can be pulled off sideways from the Velcro.
Where is the serial number on Easypet?
The serial number is affixed to the lower backside of the handle of the Easypet 3.
I want to gently dispense the last drop without activating the pump. Is this possible?
No, the residual liquid has to be dispensed by using the blow out.
