Thanks to longterm social commitment and economically and ecologically optimized production and work environments, sustainability plays a key role in all areas of Eppendorf. We aim at continuously minimizing the negative impacts of our business and our products on the environment. Our mission is to improve the living conditions of people who are always at the center of all our efforts – and have been since the foundation of our company in 1945.
The same is true for our social commitment: We have been committed to the promotion of talents in the field of research for quite a while now. Because it is them who set the course for future scientific accomplishments.
Thus, the Eppendorf Award for Young European Investigators, endowed with a prize money of 20,000 euros, is awarded annually since 1995 to young scientists in Europe. The price acknowledges outstanding contributions and novel analytical concepts in the field of biomedical research based on methods of molecular biology. The Eppendorf & Science Prize for Neurobiology is, too, a research award that is annually awarded on an international level. Endowed with a price money of 25,000 U.S. dollars it promotes young researcher aged up to 35 years who made outstanding contributions to neurobiological research based on methods of molecular and cell biology.
Furthermore, we support initiatives and projects at our local sites.
