PCR Advanced Training
Target group:
Laboratory personnels, principal investigators, technicians or researchers who wish to further improve PCR skills and knowledge base. Participants must have basic knowledge of PCR and have experience of working in a laboratory.
Objective of seminar:
This course will cover skills associated with PCR, including preparation of DNA/RNA samples and experimental design. Participants will be exposed to multiplex PCR with hands-on experience in setting up, running and troubleshooting the experiment. Participants will become familiar with the principles behind RNA extraction, multiplex PCR, RT-PCR and PCR enhancers that could be implemented to enrich their molecular research work.
Content of seminar:
Theoretical part:
> RNA and preparation for RNA experiment
> Experimental design
> Multiplex PCR
> Enhancer PCR
> RNA and preparation for RNA experiment
> Experimental design
Practical part:
> RNA extraction, quantification and RT-PCR
> Gradient PCR and Preparation for Multiplex PCR
> Multiplex PCR: Food speciation
> DNA extraction, Gradient PCR and 2D Gradient
