Are you looking for a silent companion who supports you with DNA/RNA extraction and protein purification workflows as well as cell harvesting? The new Centrifuge 5425 is the latest generation of a more than 50-year-long family history. It is the successor of the legendary »lab standard« Centrifuge 5424. It has everything you loved before plus great new features to make everyday work more enjoyable.
This 24-place centrifuge has been engineered to be extremely quiet. Short runs up to 12 minutes are whisper quiet at an average of 45 dB(A). This is sufficient for centrifugation steps of most routinely used DNA/RNA purification kits. During longer runs the cooling fan works at full capacity to dissipate the heat for the remainder of the run. Even so the Centrifuge 5425 is still the quietest non-refrigerated microcentrifuge on the market with a noise level below 51 dB(A).
Eppendorf once again pioneers in the field of centrifugation when it comes to design and function. Explore the unique elements that make the Centrifuge 5425 stand out in your lab.
Modern production methods, beloved design, highly qualified employees, and a strong commitment to sustainability provide the basis for state-of-the-art products with renowned Eppendorf quality. Centrifuge 5425 is the latest achievement and the full glory of its talents can be seen in these short clips.
Centrifuge 5425 – Be surprised
You will be surprised how fast Eppendorf QuickLock® lids open and close - only a ¼ turn. This improves handling, saves time and takes repetitive stress off your wrist. Eppendorf have thought of everything so that you can spend more time on what you do best – science.
Centrifuge 5425 – Be amazed
You will be amazed how well-designed Eppendorf’s new 24-place centrifuge is. The Centrifuge 5425 exquisitely combines form and functionality. We have taken all the measurements to make everyday work more enjoyable.
Centrifuge 5425 – Be curious
Be curious and see what's under the shell of a state-of-the-art centrifuge. A tracking shot along circuit board, cooling fan and fins. The engineers at Eppendorf have thought of all the details so that you don’t have to worry about your samples.
Centrifuge 5425 – Excellent user convenience
New features including adjustable acceleration/brake ramps and one-touch short spin function make operation simple and seamless. 3 program buttons offer direct access to your favorite settings.
Centrifuge 5425 – Innovative safety features
Aerosol-tight Eppendorf QuickLock® lids make handling simple and safe. The rotors provide aerosol-tight containment for safe centrifugation of hazardous samples such as viruses, pathogen bacteria or radioactive probes.
Centrifuge 5425 – Great Versatility
The comprehensive range of 6 rotors including a swing-bucket rotor for 96 PCR tubes and a fixed-angle rotor for 5 mL tubes broaden the spectrum of molecular biology applications and cell harvesting.
Eppendorf has been manufacturing high-quality centrifuges since 1964 and their popularity with users has steadily grown over those years. Today, Eppendorf is a household name for benchtop centrifuges. Since 1991, its R&D and production facilities in Leipzig, Germany, have played a major role in this ongoing success story.
