What is ISO 8655?
What is ISO 8655?
ISO 8655 is the test standard for pipettes, dispensers and their calibration. It does not apply to 16-channel and 24-channel pipettes. The specifications only apply to the full system: pipette plus tip. This international standard has been developed for:
› Manufacturers as the basis of their quality control
› Test centers for independent certification
› Operators of the devices for routine tests
Can we adjust the pipette?
Can we adjust the pipette?
Eppendorf manual pipettes have both, a user adjustment for temporary adjustment purposes and a factory adjustment. This user adjustment can easily be set back to manufacturer settings without the need for recalibration. Please be aware that variable manual pipettes turn into "fixed-volume pipettes" when being adjusted: They can only be adjusted to a specific liquid to one volume and not across the entire dispensing range. For the correct procedure and examples for settings of user adjustments for different liquids please see the operating instructions and CD enclosed to your pipette.
