Centrifuge Solution for Plasmid construction, Sequencing preparation and Humanization

Target antigen production, sequencing sample preparation, and antibody humanization involve a great deal of repetitive molecular biology handling steps. This includes spin column based MiniPrep kits for nucleic acid purification, gel extraction, and PCR clean-up. Each protocol has multiple centrifugation steps interrupted by pipetting and vessel changes. Microcentrifuges have entered a new generation, with the completely newly developed Centrifuge 5425 in combination with kit rotor specifically designed for 1.5/2.0 mL spin column kits.

  • One push short-spin key for quick centrifugation – no need to hold key all the while.

Improved Sample Safety

  • Reduced risk of cross-contamination in spin column applications due to extended rim that serves as reinforcement for open tube caps during centrifugation and protects caps from shearing off.
  • Automatic lid opening at the end of the run prevents sample warming and allows easy access to samples.
  • Integration of incubation steps via timer function for increased reproducibility.

Better Ergonomics

  • Short runs up to 12 minutes are whisper quiet at an average of 45 dB(A). This is sufficient for centrifugation steps of most routinely used DNA/RNA purification kits. During longer runs the cooling fan works at full capacity.
  • QuickLock rotors close with only 1/4 of a turn. This not only saves you time during every day use, it also takes repetitive stress off your wrist.
  • Soft-touch one-finger lid closure for ergonomic lid locking.

Centrifuge 5425

  • Whisper quiet 24-place standard microcentrifuge with outstanding feature set for broad range of applications, non-refrigerated.
  • Extended rotor program (e.g. 5.0 mL rotor, swing-bucket rotor for PCR strips).
  • Max. capacity: 10 × 5.0 mL vessels.

Rotor FA-18x2-Kit

  • Fixed-angle rotor for molecular biology applications in 18 × 1.5/2.0 mL tubes or spin columns.
  • Aerosol-tight with Eppendorf QuickLock lid.
  • Max. speed: 18,565 × g (15,060 rpm).
