Accurate liquid transfer: How to choose the right “pipette” for your application
Description:
Whether it is ELISA, NGS or HPLC: Liquid handling systems are the basis of conducting analyses. But the requirements towards the liquid handling systems differ with the analysis. Have you ever asked yourself if you are applying the most appropriate “pipette”? This webinar presents a guide-line when to use which liquid handling system - and tips & tricks how to apply it correctly.

Increase your throughput, maximize security in sample processing
Description:
The number of biobanks and other labs performing biobank-related tasks is increasing rapidly. Efficiently managing high volumes of samples associated with these tasks can be challenging. Labelling, documentation, securing and high-throughput processing are some of the challenges that biobank labs are facing. Sample management software can be of great help, but only if there is a direct link to the physical lab. In this workshop the lab digitization experts of Eppendorf will present how to overcome these challenges with new biobanking solutions and a direct integration into eLAB software.

Beyond Throughput – How Automation Can Improve Productivity in Every Laboratory
Description:
When it comes to automation many think it increases productivity in the lab by simply increasing their sample throughput. But besides this obvious direct influence, the true power of automation for your lab goes way beyond a simple increase in numbers per run. Here you learn how Automation can also support your lab.

From Shaker to Bioreactor
Description:
Shake flasks, cell culture dishes, and T-flasks are the first vessels that come to mind when we think about cultivation systems for growing eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells in the lab. Bioreactors and fermenters open up new possibilities and are another alternative to consider if we need larger quantities of cells, increased efficiency of cultivation, or enhanced reproducibility.
Within this webinar, the participants will learn the differences between the cultivation of cells in shakers and bioreactors. We will focus on the basic components of a bioreactor and the various process parameters that can be controlled. Finally, we will focus on different process strategies to further optimize a process and increase.

From nucleic acid purification to downstream applications – Optimize your workflow!
Description:
Today nucleic acid extraction is anything but ordinary, and it is the first step in most genomic workflows. High quality and pure DNA and RNA in sufficient amounts are crucial for a variety of sensitive and expensive downstream analyses like qPCR, NGS techniques, or cloning. Despite the fact that nucleic acid purification is used routinely in most worldwide molecular biology laboratories, the understanding of the principle and the knowledge of the core technologies are often surprisingly low. However, a good understanding of this can help tremendously to optimize your workflow and to troubleshoot existing protocols as well as comply with publishing guidelines like MIQE to increase the integrity of the scientific literature.
In addition, there is a constantly increasing need for high-throughput assays and nucleic acid analyses in areas like pathogen screening and cancer research up to metagenomics, whether with DNA, viral RNA, or plasmids. Nucleic acid purification with filter plates or magnetic beads is perfectly suited for automation. We show you how to automate your purification routines to increase both sample throughput and reproducibility. Additionally, we assess how sample-quality using a multi-channel spectrophotometer helps to prevent downstream errors. In this webinar Eppendorf, Implen, and MACHEREY-NAGEL are joining forces to optimize your workflow.
