Are Eppendorf consumables free of RNA?

All consumables certified with "PCR clean" are tested free of human DNA, DNase, RNase and PCR inhibitors. The following applies from our point of view: where no human DNA is detected, there can also be no RNA, which is considerably more unstable.

How are the sterile Eppendorf Deepwell Plates packed?

The plates are packed stacked in a resealable ZipLock bag.

Are Eppendorf Deepwell Plates together with the colored border resistant against organic solvents?

Eppendorf Deepwell Plates are made of polypropylene. All parts of the plate (colorless/colored parts and coding) have the same high resistance against chemicals and are resistant against many organic solvents. For details please see our Application Note no. 56: The best material for original Eppis.

Is it possible to store Eppendorf Deepwell Plates at –196°C in liquid nitrogen?

No - we recommend storage at –80°C.

Are Eppendorf Deepwell Plates autoclavable?

Yes, but the dimensional precision of the plates can be affected. If the use of sterile plates is needed we recommend Eppendorf Plate ® Deepwell Sterile.

Are Eppendorf Deepwell Plates LoBind ® coated or siliconized?

No - the plates are neither coated nor siliconized.

Does the polypropylene of the Eppendorf Deepwell Plates contain plasticizers?

No – Eppendorf Deepwell Plates are made of polypropylene which does not contain plasticizers.

Eppendorf Deepwell Plates are withstand high centrifugation forces – What are the limits?

Eppendorf Deepwell Plates Standard and LoBind can be centrifuged up to 6000 x g. Eppendorf Plate ® Deepwell Sterile withstand up to 5000 x g. For details refer to the ' Instruction for Use '.

What are the precise dimensions of Eppendorf Deepwell Plates?

Are Eppendorf Deepwell Plates available with Barcode?

Are Eppendorf tubes, plates (also LoBind variants), and pipette tips resistant to 100% acetonitrile?

Eppendorf tubes, plates including LoBind, and pipette tips are resistant to 100% acetonitrile only in room temperature conditions. Above 40°C and prolonged exposure (days) may lead to partial damage and is not recommended. For lower acetonitrile concentrations the resistance parameters will be better so prolonged exposure and higher temperatures may be possible. This must be however tested by the customer.
