Troubleshooting in bioprocessing

Successful bioprocessing is complex and depends on many factors. From the selection of the expression host, media composition, the proper cultivation system and cultivation strategy, adequate downstream processes, up to the development of a robust tech transfer.

In this webinar we will address general and day-to-day challenges in the bioprocessing workflow from shake flask to production and discuss possible solutions. We will initially look on common challenges in reactor set-ups and configurations. What vessel and impeller type are the appropriate one for different culture demands (e.g. shear sensitivity, high oxygen demands), what process parameters control is essential and how the integration of additional analytical tools can help to improve process stability. We will address frequent challenges in cultivation, e.g. how to produce reproducible inoculums in shake flasks, how to prevent contamination in a bioreactor, during transfer or sampling and how to cope with difficulties in cultivation in the bioreactor, e.g. foaming or viscous solutions. We will further have a look on the different steps of a process and discuss optimization factors and measures.

Register now, if you want to have answers to frequently asked questions in bioprocessing and want to understand how to cope with challenges in bioprocessing from shake flask to bioreactor.

Cell line identity- Preventing cell misidentification in your daily lab routine

1951 the first human cell line HeLa entered cell culture labs worldwide. 70 years later, we know that at least 129 cell lines are contaminated with HeLa cells with dramatic implications on the validity of past cell culture related research. The fact that at least 509 cell lines are misidentified (ICLAC 2020) reveals a significant need for solid cell authentication that is increasingly required by scientific journals and auditing authorities.

In this webinar, we will discuss principles, methods, and share best practices to check cell identity. Join us to learn more about preventing cell misidentification by incorporating Good Cell Culture Practice into your daily routine and become a true cell culture expert.

Secure You Next Great Discovery

Your samples are some of the most valuable assets in the laboratory. After spending countless hours on extraction and preparation, your conclusions could be invalid due to lack of traceability or loss of sample integrity associated with poor storage conditions.

To complete your research, you need to be able to trust your results. So why do so many rely on an inadequate sample management system that can lead to unreliable findings?
