We Care – Today and Tomorrow

When working in SARS-CoV-2-research and vaccine development, reliable results are important. At Eppendorf we want to help you to optimize your results by providing the right equipment and tools.

Now more than ever, it is important to understand the nature of your samples and the likelihood of those samples posing a risk not only to other samples but also to the scientists who are handling them and the wider laboratory.

That scientist is you!

We help defeat COVID-19

Corona continues to have a firm grip on the world. Although we at Eppendorf have significantly increased production capacities in all plants and are working at full speed to adapt our production and delivery capacities to the new conditions, delivery times for certain products may nevertheless be delayed. Particularly affected are currently products used for testing for Covid-19 as well as vaccine development and storage.

We regret this and ask for your understanding. We have taken comprehensive, sustainable measures to counteract the restrictions in delivery capability caused by Corona. For more detailed delivery information, we ask all customers to contact the responsible customer service in your region directly.

Should you have any further questions regarding Eppendorf's handling of the coronavirus pandemic, please do not hesitate to contact us. We look forward to hearing from you.

Are the tools in your lab compliant to the IVD Directive? Do they need to be?

Centrifuges

To support regulatory compliance in EU and EFTA* countries, Eppendorf offers centrifuges in two versions: On the one hand products complying with the requirements of Directive 98/79/EC and, in the future, the EU In Vitro Diagnostics Regulation (IVDR) 2017/746 and on the other hand a "General Lab Product" version for research use. EU-IVD compliant products give peace of mind by supporting your documentation and accreditation requirements where needed. It is an easy choice, because both versions follow the same high quality standards at Eppendorf. We are not making any compromises when it comes to precision, accuracy, robustness, safety and ergonomics.

For pipettes, pipette tips and tubes that were available in two versions from Eppendorf over the last years, it gets even easier: From January 2022, the standard version of these products may be used for any general lab application, including IVD applications in the EU and EFTA* countries.
