How you can make an impact
You will help ensure that customers can rely on accurate, consistent and well-maintained pipetting equipment in their laboratories.
You will handle servicing, preventive maintenance and calibration of manual liquid-handling pipettes at customer sites and service locations.
Operate Calibright software to execute pipette calibration activities, record results and maintain accurate digital service data.
Perform pipette calibration using an online printer where required and ensure that calibration outputs are captured correctly.
Generate calibration reports and certificates through the designated system, ensuring that all records are complete and traceable.
Review calibration results and validate the obtained data with superiors before finalizing reports or certificates.
Submit error-free service and calibration reports within the defined timelines.
Disassemble and assemble pipettes correctly during service and repair activities, ensuring that components are handled carefully and instruments are restored to proper working condition.
Execute assigned tasks systematically and complete service, calibration and reporting activities on time.
Meet defined productivity, throughput, quality and service-level norms.
Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by communicating clearly, responding professionally and resolving service requirements efficiently.
Keep customers informed about action plans, service progress, report status and certificate sharing as and when necessary.
Maintain good rapport with customers in all aspects of service delivery and customer interaction.
Maintain proper dedication, punctuality, discipline and ownership in daily work and reporting activities.
Maintain, protect and calibrate validation tools properly, including weighing scales and other equipment used for pipette verification.
Keep accurate service records, calibration data, customer communication records and other required documentation.
Report service activities, customer interactions, pending actions and technical or operational concerns accurately and on time.
Evaluate customer requirements and recommend appropriate service, maintenance, calibration or technical support actions.
Collaborate with internal service and Sales teams to support customer retention, service opportunities and organizational goals.
Travel extensively across Karnataka and to other territories when business requirements demand it.
Follow company quality systems, safety procedures, email etiquette, documentation standards and reporting requirements.
What sets you apart
B.E. or B.Tech in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering or related technical discipline.
Candidates with up to 2 years of relevant experience in laboratory equipment service, calibration, maintenance or technical support are welcome.
Experience in installing, servicing, maintaining and calibrating pipettes is preferred. Experience with electronic pipettes will be an advantage.
Basic understanding of pipette operation, functionality, troubleshooting, disassembly, assembly and performance verification.
A genuine aspiration to learn new products, technologies, service procedures and customer requirements.
Systematic and disciplined approach to executing assigned work and completing tasks on time.
Ability to meet defined productivity, throughput, quality and service-level norms.
Strong work dedication, punctuality and ownership of service and reporting activities.
Good analytical and troubleshooting skills, with attention to detail when handling precision instruments.
Customer-focused attitude and the ability to maintain positive relationships with laboratory users, lab managers and other stakeholders.
Ability to understand and evaluate customer requirements and translate them into appropriate technical actions.
Good communication skills in English and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to maintain accurate service documentation.
