Carbon Emission Saving Calculator
This carbon emission calculator is based on an externally performed Life-Cycle-Analysis (5 ml tubes) and an externally performed Carbon-Footprint-Analysis (epT.I.P.S.). Both analyses compared the classic fossil-oil based Eppendorf version with the biobased Eppendorf version based on a cradle-to-gate concept. Based on these results, Eppendorf transformed the carbon emission savings from the specified sizes to products of the same product family but of different volume classes. The savings are limited to the biobased raw material and do not take into account the production processes. The indicated savings indicate a direction.
