Bioprocess Sales Engineer f/m/d
Career Level: Direct Entry
Employment: Fulltime, permanent
Start: Immediately
Location: Boston, MA
Job-ID: R11734
Company: Eppendorf North America, Inc.
Improving human living conditions – that is our shared purpose at Eppendorf. With our high-quality, precise premium life science products – from pipette tips, dispensers and centrifuges to bioreactors and ultra-low temperature freezers – we help scientists around the world conduct research in the lab faster, more accurately and more efficiently.
I listen to truly understand.
I lead the way, even when the path ahead is not yet clear.
I stand by what I say.
I make progress visible and share what I learn.
If this resonates with you, you are exactly who we are looking for.
You will work with people who combine different perspectives and make new things possible. You contribute your ideas, ask questions, challenge the status quo – and you will find an environment that empowers you and helps you grow. Because we believe in people who want to shape the future. People like you.
How you can make an impact
Travel throughout your assigned Boston‑area territory to visit existing and prospective customers, creating demand for Eppendorf North America’s Bioprocess products and services through in‑person meetings, email and phone contact.
Follow up on and actively process sales leads generated from trade shows, marketing campaigns, social media, telephone inquiries and other sources, converting them into qualified opportunities and orders.
Build and maintain a strong pipeline by developing a targeted list of prospective accounts and customers in your territory and systematically expanding Eppendorf’s bioprocess footprint.
Present, position and quote Eppendorf Bioprocess product offerings, guiding customers through the evaluation process and supporting them in selecting the right solutions for their applications.
Coordinate pre‑ and post‑sales activities with cross‑functional colleagues (e.g. field applications, service, marketing, management) to ensure a seamless customer experience and successful implementations.
Attend trade exhibits and distributor shows to promote Eppendorf Bioprocess solutions, educate customers, monitor competitors and generate new leads.
Use the CRM regularly and diligently to manage accounts, contacts and opportunity pipelines, share leads with other Eppendorf sales teams and report key sales metrics, time sheets, expenses, itineraries and market feedback to your supervisor.
What sets you apart
Bringing a bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university in life sciences or engineering, giving you a solid technical foundation for bioprocess discussions with customers.
At least 5 years of related outside sales experience, preferably with bioprocess or other scientific/technical solutions, and a track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
Strong consultative selling skills: you listen carefully, understand customer processes and translate their needs into concrete bioprocess solutions and proposals.
Comfortable working in the field, organizing your travel and schedule efficiently and maintaining a strong presence with key accounts across the Boston area.
Confident communicator in customer‑facing settings – from one‑to‑one visits and demos to trade show interactions – able to explain complex solutions in a clear, value‑oriented way.
Proficient user of CRM and standard business tools (e.g. Microsoft Office), with a disciplined approach to pipeline management, forecasting and documentation.
A collaborative mindset: you share leads and insights with other Eppendorf sales teams, coordinate with field applications and service colleagues, and represent Eppendorf professionally in the bioprocess community.
What we offer
We value your contribution. A competitive annual base salary in the range of $85,000–$100,000, plus a comprehensive bonus/commission structure, reflects your impact on regional bioprocess growth.
Tools to succeed. A company vehicle and gas card support your field‑based work and help you stay close to customers across the Boston area.
Purpose and impact. You help bioprocess customers bring therapies and innovations to market, directly contributing to improving people’s lives.
Comprehensive benefits. A competitive total rewards package, including health, financial and education benefits, supports you in different stages of life.
Growth in a key segment. Opportunities to deepen your expertise in bioprocess solutions and progress in commercial or leadership roles within a global life science organization.
Collaborative environment. Close collaboration with marketing, field applications, service and other sales teams in a culture that values sharing knowledge and celebrating wins together.
