Eppendorf has published its Sustainability Report 2025, outlining progress in climate action, resource efficiency, and social responsibility. The report also marks an important milestone: Eppendorf’s science-based climate targets were validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), confirming their alignment with the goals of the Paris Agreement.
In the report, Eppendorf commits to reducing relevant Scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas emissions by 63% by 2035 compared with the base year 2023. Additional key facts from the 2025 reporting year include 40% renewable electricity as a share of total power consumption, six production sites certified to ISO 14001 or EMAS standards, and 28,453 training hours completed globally, averaging seven hours per employee.
The report also highlights tangible progress in packaging optimization. Through various measures, Eppendorf saved around 1,300 pallets, 6.5 tons of cardboard, and 900,000 plastic bags in 2025.
With its Sustainability Report 2025, Eppendorf underscores its purpose to help improve human living conditions – both through its products for laboratories worldwide and through responsible business practices across its value chain.
