How you can make an impact
You will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and reliability of pipetting equipment in customer laboratories through professional installation, servicing, calibration, and maintenance.
The role also involves providing technical support to customers across the region and other assigned territories.
Install, service, maintain and calibrate manual and electronic pipettes at customer sites and service locations.
Perform functional checks, performance verification and calibration activities in accordance with defined procedures, quality requirements and applicable standards.
Demonstrate thorough knowledge of pipette operation, features and functionalities, and explain correct usage and care to customers.
Diagnose technical issues systematically, identify root causes and carry out effective repairs or corrective actions.
Disassemble and assemble pipettes correctly, ensuring that all components are handled carefully and the instrument is restored to proper working condition.
Complete service, repair, calibration and verification activities accurately and within the agreed timelines.
Execute assigned tasks in a systematic manner and meet defined productivity, throughput and quality norms.
Maintain accurate service records, calibration reports, inspection checklists and other required documentation.
Report service activities, customer interactions, pending actions and any technical or operational concerns on time.
Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by responding professionally, communicating clearly and resolving issues efficiently.
Evaluate customer requirements and recommend appropriate service, maintenance, calibration or technical support solutions.
Build a strong understanding of the customer base, laboratory requirements and business environment.
Support customer visits, product demonstrations, user guidance and basic technical training when required.
Collaborate with Sales and internal service teams to support customer retention, service opportunities and organizational goals.
Follow all company policies, safety procedures, quality systems and reporting requirements.
What sets you apart
Bringing 2–4 years of hands‑on experience in installation, maintenance and servicing of laboratory equipment, ideally in the life sciences, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, healthcare or research laboratory environment.
B.E. or B.Tech in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, Instrumentation, Diploma or a related technical discipline.
Experience in installing, servicing, maintaining and calibrating pipettes is preferred. Experience with electronic pipettes will be an advantage.
Basic understanding of pipette operation, functionality, troubleshooting, disassembly, assembly and performance verification.
A genuine aspiration to learn new products, technologies, service procedures and customer requirements.
Systematic and disciplined approach to executing assigned work and completing tasks on time.
Ability to meet defined productivity, throughput, quality and service-level norms.
Strong work dedication, punctuality and ownership of service and reporting activities.
Good analytical and troubleshooting skills, with attention to detail when handling precision instruments.
Customer-focused attitude and the ability to maintain positive relationships with laboratory users, lab managers and other stakeholders.
Ability to understand and evaluate customer requirements and translate them into appropriate technical actions.
Willingness and ability to travel across Karnataka and to other territories as required.
Good communication skills in English and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues. Knowledge of Kannada will be an advantage.
Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to maintain accurate service documentation.
