Eppendorf SnapTec 50 Centrifuge Tube Launched for Safe and Fast Sample Handling

SnapTec cap-locking technology enhances the safety of sample handling by means of a cap that is firmly attached to the tube, thus avoiding confusion with other caps and reducing the risk of cross-contamination.These centrifuge tubes are autoclavable and have a wide range of laboratory applications.

Its nearly identical dimensions to current 50 mL screw-cap conical-bottom centrifuge tubes ensure compatibility with current laboratory centrifuge rotors, mixers and shakers.

True to Eppendorf’s reputation for carefully crafted labware, the new SnapTec 50 conical-bottom centrifuge tube is made from high-grade raw materials and adheres to the principle of not adding plasticizers or sterilizers in the production process.

Currently, typical laboratory applications for conical-bottom centrifuge tubes include cell culture, bacterial culture and protein or DNA/RNA extraction, where biosafety and smooth workflow are essential.The quick opening and secure closing properties of the new caps, together with their autoclavability, help meet these requirements.

To ensure airtightness and centrifugal tolerance, the maximum capacity of the new Eppendorf SnapTec 50 conical bottom centrifuge tube is 45 mL, thereby meeting the needs of more than 75% of its primary applications. It is available in three purity grades: premium Eppendorf Quality™ , PCR clean, and PCR clean + Sterile (pyrogen-free, DNase-free, RNase-free, human DNA-free and bacterial DNA-free).
