Safe and easy liquid dispensing from bottles without compromise
Master difficult liquid dispensing tasks with the Varispenser 2 and Varispenser 2x universally applicable bottle-top dispensers. Available in six different sizes for liquid dispensing of volumes from 0.2 – 100 mL, the Varispenser 2 and 2x are designed to consistently dispense selected volumes with no reagent waste. The unique PFA sealing lip technology prevents crystal building from media residue by wiping off the inner cylinder wall during dispensing. This technology, combined with their high chemical resistance, allows the Varispenser 2 and 2x to be used for nearly all kinds of liquids, including aggressive solutions like acids, bases or solvents.
A special thread design and additional thread adapters ensure their use with most large supply and reagent bottles in the laboratory, while an extra air vent cap helps prevent possible contamination from the supply bottle. With a 360° rotating valve block offering safe and easy access in all positions, Varispenser 2 and Varispenser 2x really do make aliquoting liquids safe and convenient.
The Varispenser 2x has an additional recirculation valve which prevents reagent loss while ventilating. Both variants are fully autoclavable.

Whether you are using corrosive, inflammable, high viscosity or volatile liquids, the built-in safety features of Varispenser 2 or Varispenser 2x protect you from accidental spills and ensure smooth and effortless operation. Their high chemical resistance means these bottle-top dispensers can be used with a variety of liquid reagents in a range of applications often found in biological, pharmaceutical, chemistry or forensic labs - all while providing superior sealing over a wide range of temperatures and viscosities. If you need to dispense fuming acids, which are often used in the chemical industry, it’s important to ensure they are kept free from moisture. A drying tube filled with a moisture absorber is the ideal accessory for this application.
How to use a Varispenser 2 bottle-top dispenser
Attach the telescopic aspirating tube and recirculation valve (Varispenser 2x only) to the bottle-top dispenser before attaching it to your supply bottle using the appropriate adapter. Unlock the volume selection slider by pushing it to the right, slide it to your desired volume and lock it by pushing the slider to the left. Vent the dispenser by pulling up the piston and pushing it down to dispense liquid into any target vessel until the liquid inside the cylinder is free from air bubbles. Dispense liquid by following the same steps after venting. Note that the dispenser is not a suitable bottle closure and should be removed from the bottle and properly cleaned after use.
