Working in regulated environments? Upgrade to epBlue GxP software!
The 'Enhanced Feature Set GxP' for the epBlue Software is designed to support compliance with 21 CFR Part 11, EU GMP Annex 11, and GAMP 5. epBlue GxP has the following features to help you save time and gain certainty in regulated environments:
epBlue access control and user management
A touchscreen operation of liquid handling robots simplifies programmingOnly users with a valid user ID and password can create or run applications or access electronic records. Five different user levels (Admin, Admin Lab, User Level 1, User Level 2, Guest) mirror a huge variety of regulatory required roles and organizational set-ups, giving you flexibility. Additional safety features such as automatic lockout after a period of inactivity are available to prevent unauthorized access.
Complete electronic documentation
With epBlue GxP, you can create digitally signed PDFs from a wide variety of document types. The software tracks revision histories of pipetting applications, giving you transparency and oversight. It explicitly records and secures signature statuses, including unsigned, created, reviewed, and authorized.
Log files of all processes and actions are recorded, and all user activities are documented in an automatically generated and time-stamped audit trail. The audit trail also contains details on user administration and security violations. You can apply filter settings to quickly review the details of the parts of the audit trail relevant to you.
Data security and integrity
The epBlue software GxP ensures the integrity of all electronic records by protecting them from modification or deletion within the data base system. Data can be exported and archived as human‑readable, digitally signed documents. Each record contains a complete, traceable history and a clearly defined document status. The software uses industry‑standard digital certificates for users, systems, and master credentials. These certificates are simple to generate and enable reliable verification of electronic signatures in exported PDF documents—even on external systems such as those used by regulatory authorities (e.g. FDA or EMA).
Electronic signature workflow management
All critical user actions need to be documented and confirmed with digital signatures. The workflow can be configured to require signatures at key stages, such as creation and review. Each application follows this pre-configured workflow, ensuring that a pre-defined user signs each step in the review cycle. Multiple users can electronically sign without requiring the previous user to log off, improving ease and efficiency.
More information on epBlue GxP and other epBlue software upgrades can be found in our

Integrate your barcoded samples, plates, and reagents with epBlue ID
epBlue ID is a software module that can be added to the epBlue GxP software. This add-on also includes a manual barcode reader, so that barcoded samples, plates, and reagents can be recorded and documented. epBlue ID is compliant with LIMS-generated worklists, and prevents errors by manually scanning and verifying samples before and after processing.
