How you can make an impact
In this role, you take ownership for end‑to‑end Record‑to‑Report processes and help ensure that our financial information is reliable and meaningful.
Execute Record‑to‑Report activities for assigned legal entities – from month‑end to year‑end closing.
Oversee the maintenance of the general ledger and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
Prepare financial reports and reporting packs in line with global and statutory requirements.
Perform analysis and prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
Process journal entries, accruals and adjustments as part of the closing cycle.
Handle intercompany account reconciliations, invoice processing and related payments.
Prepare bank reconciliations and cash reporting.
Process and maintain fixed asset transactions, ensuring complete documentation and compliance.
Prepare and update intercompany withholding tax information for payment and submission.
Support audit and tax queries by preparing schedules, reconciliations and supporting documentation.
Collaborate closely with colleagues in other teams to obtain trial balances, clarify variances and resolve data discrepancies.
Contribute to system and process changes, including updating process documentation and participating in projects.
What sets you apart
A degree in finance, accounting, business studies or a comparable field.
Around 5 years of experience in Record‑to‑Report / General Ledger roles.
Sound knowledge of accounting principles and closing processes.
Practical experience with SAP and confident use of Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving and reconciliation skills, with high attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks in parallel and deliver high‑quality results to deadlines.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative way of working across functions and locations.
Proficiency in English and Japanese, written and spoken, to support internal stakeholders in the region.
You bring a proactive, solution‑oriented mindset and are open to improving processes over time.
