How to cultivate stem cells for cultured meat?

Cultured meat is genuine animal meat that is made of stem cells in the lab to eliminate the need to raise and farm animals for food. The stem cells are obtained from an animal by a harmless biopsy and grown in bioreactors to achieve large-scale volumes. Subsequently, a combination of scaffolding and chemical signals is used to provide structural support and direct differentiation of cells into the desired meat product.

Stirred-tank bioreactors are the cultivation system of choice to strictly control the cells’ growth environment and to scale up cell production from small numbers used in the R&D phase to the mass generation of cells.
