Your challenges
- Design & development of ultra-low temperature refrigeration systems to meet customer and product requirements following agile methodology of product development.
- Use of specific numeric calculation methods to assure design performance while minimizing investment on prototype and experiments building, calibrate models targeting representativeness.
- Create and review specifications of refrigeration systems and components for use either to prototypes or off tooling units. Assure refrigeration specifications are feasible to source by connecting to suppliers and manufacturing operations.
- Provide specific documentation related to product design to meet regulatory compliance: ISO 9001, 13485 and organization requirements.
- Advocate on refrigeration testing by making sure product and testing quality level is appropriate. Guide testing engineers on testing planning and execution. Analyze testing results, understand product improvement opportunities and drive implementation of changes.
- Feed refrigeration technology roadmap pipeline by targeting new and feasible technologies. Rely on different sources to research, analyze and invent high performance and cost-effective refrigeration systems.
- Assist on quality complains from the field by providing technical support to identify root cause, short- and long-term alternatives and determine potential product risks.
- Provide support on manufacturing processes and methods to meet quality and safety standards of the product.
Your expertise
- BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering. MsC or Phd on Heat & Mass transfer or similar field is a plus.
- Have a solid technical background on thermodynamics and heat transfer in the development of refrigeration products or devices.
- Proven track of record on product/ technologies development as a design engineer using thermodynamics and heat transfer.
- Experience working in formalized phase-gate product development process, using Design tools such as DFM, FMEA and ISO 9001 design controls.
- Experienced in mathematical modelling of technical problems in the field of refrigeration and heat transfer.
- Ability to simplify complex phenomena while keeping a balance between model accuracy and parametrization efforts.
- Experience on Refprop, Flownex, SolidWorks (CAD), Agile Project Methodology within a regulated industry, FGas, Hydrocarbon conversion are a plus.
- Combine the ability to think and plan strategically with a hands-on approach to work and ensure delivery of the agreed targets.
