Automating RNA purification and PCR reactions
When studying emerging infectious diseases, the isolation and quantification of nucleic acids is the starting point for both clinical research and the development of therapies and vaccines.
It is in these areas of research where the requirements for processing a high number of samples, obtaining robust data, and generating reproducible results determine the methodological and technological approach to be used in the laboratory work flow. In this talk, we will therefore review the critical points, the benefits, and the challenges of the main methods used in the isolation and quantification of nucleic acids as well as the solutions that Eppendorf, in collaboration with various manufacturers of nucleic acid purification kits, is offering to those involved in these areas of research and interested in automating their liquid-handling procedures.
Date and time: April 24, 2020
