Optimizing the biosimilars production process - Batch, fed batch, perfusion
The global biosimilars market is at a turning point, since more than 10 of the leading biopharmaceutical companies terminated patents in 2020. Many of these medicines are human or humanized monoclonal antibodies.
The objective of this webinar is to show the results of three principal production methods for a typical biosimilar (batch, fed batch and perfusion) as well as their easy and simple execution in a benchtop bioprocess system, which allows reliable decisions to be made about the process in order to make it scalable to production.
Two perfusion processes will be compared and data on the use of single-use stirred-tank bioreactors will be shown for fed-batch and perfusion cultures. In addition to showing data on these processes, an analysis of the benefits of using these systems in biosimilars production will be provided, with a particular focus on improving the time and cost benefits.
Date and time: May 14, 2021
Speaker: Dr. Fernando Bautista Reyes, Product Specialist – Eppendorf do Brasil Ltda.
Languages: The recorded webinar is only available in Spanish.
