Can I install the software on multiple PCs?
The software needs to be installed on the server PC. All client PCs are accessing the server via Google Chrome.
What is the maximum number of clients that can be connected to the server?
There is no restriction. However, using high numbers of clients accessing the server at the same time might lead to a delayed answer of the server.
How many users can be set-up with the software?
Can I access the CycleManager X50 software from outside my organization/lab (e.g home)?
The client PCs can access the server through the same network or through VPN.
Can I connect the X50 eco cyclers directly into my network?
No, the cyclers need to be connected via an ethernet connection to the Bridge PC. This PC can then be connected on a separate connection to the company network. Connecting the Mastercycler X50 “eco” devices directly to the company network is not supported.
Can I connect the PC with the software to the internet?
The server PC can be connected to the internet. However, Eppendorf is not responsible to keep the safety and security of the connected computer.
Is the CycleManager X50 software accessible via other platforms (app; mobile, etc.)?
No, this is currently not possible.
Can I use the PC installed with the software for other applications (e.g. qPCR, sequencing software)?
Yes, it is possible to use the PC for other applications
Can I set-up email notification?
Email notification is possible if the server is connected to an internal mail-server (no encryption)
Can I use a Mastercycler X50 with a touchscreen display in connection with CycleManager X50?
No, the CycleManager X50 software is only meant for X50 cyclers without touchscreen interface.
Is the CycleManager X50 software compatible with older Eppendorf Mastercycler models?
No, the CycleManager X50 is compatible with only Mastercycler X50 (without touchscreen interface) variants.
What additional features does CycleManager X50 software provide compared to a Mastercycler X50 with touchscreen device?

Is it possible to connect the software CyclerManager X50 with external systems (e.g. ELN, LIMS)?
The CycleManager X50 comes with API feature (GraphQL and Websockets).
External software/systems can make use of the API to request and send data from the CyclyManager X50.

How does VisioNize work?
VisioNize is a cloud-based software, wherefore no software installation is needed. VisioNize-onboard devices just need to be integrated into your IT network and have to be onboarded to the VisioNize Digital Lab Space. Who should subscribe to the VisioNize Digital Lab Space?
Lab Managers taking care of the device asset should act as Digital Lab Space administrators. The administrator can add and delete additional users giving them the opportunity to monitor devices and subscribe for notifications.

Do I have to pay license fees for VisioNize?
No, the basic VisioNize services are free of charge. You only need to have a VisioNize-onboard device with the latest software version.
Which devices can be connected?
The first devices will be: the Freezer CryoCube F740hi and the Incubator CellXpert C170i. We will continuously expand the device connectibility.
Can I connect third party instruments?
We want to provide an open platform, enabling also other vendors in our solution and vice versa. Check our website from time to time to receive latest news and updates.
Which languages are available?
The software is in English available.
Can I monitor my connected laboratory devices from my home?
You can access the VisioNize Digital Lab Space from any (mobile) end device with an internet browser. There is no VPN connection needed.
I have many users in my lab. Can they all have access to VisioNize?
Yes, of course! VisioNize offers a comprehensive user-management function. Multiple users can be connected to the network and be assigned to different levels of access.
Do I need training to work with VisioNize?
Thanks to the intuitive design of VisioNize, training is generally unnecessary. However, if you do require support, please contact your local Eppendorf support. We would be happy to assist.
In which countries is VisioNize available?
At the moment, VisioNize is available for customers located in in Europe and North America. For other countries, please contact your local Eppendorf support.
When will VisioNize be available in other countries?
We are working on expanding the availibity of VisioNize for other regions in 2020.
